A year and something ago when i first heard OLIVIER THEYSKENS will design for THEORY, i felt like the world will collapse. My dark alternative prince to design for company known for office attire?! I mean, kill me know. Was it for money alone? After all he was known to never actually comprehending the commercial part of the business, was that the case? To be part of something that will have commercial success? I was conflicted about his first collection for Theory, at last year’s NYFW. But this one? I’m actually getting on board. Look at those pants?! From Olivier? Now, when i think about him and see his Theory designs, i like to think he’s sitting in his (or Theory’s) studio in Meatpacking, not entirely hating this. Maybe even enjoying it a little.
